Stainless Steel Sink Care & Cleaning Instructions |
|
Cleaning Procedures Clean your Leonet stainless sink when it becomes noticeably dull or dirty and use the simplest cleaning procedure that will effectively "do the job". * The best friend of stainless steel is clean water or a mild detergent solution, applied with a soft cloth or sponge, rinsed well and wiped dry. * Routine cleaning will retain both the corrosion resistance and appearance of stainless steel through years of exposure and use. * Disinfecting: Occasionally wipe surface with diluted household bleach (1 part water /1 part bleach). * Maintenance: Occasionally clean by filling the sink one-quarter full with a 50/50 water/bleach solution. Let soak for 15 minutes, then wash sides and bottom as solution drains and thoroughly rinse. Cleaning Do's * It is suggested to rinse your sink after each use. Thorough rinsing can be done by running the water for a few minutes and rubbing the cleaned area with a sponge. * Avoid exposing your sink to strong chemicals, such as paint removers, oven cleaners, etc. If contact occurs, quickly flush the surface with water. * Towel dry after each use to prevent mineral deposits from building up on the surface of the sink. * It is recommended to run cold water when pouring boiling water into sinks to minimize temperature shock. Cleaning Don'ts * Do not use coarse abrasive powders. * Do not use metallic scourers or brushes with metal bristles. * Do not allow liquid soap or other household cleansers to dry on the surface of the sink. Most brands contain chemical additives, which may affect the finish. * Do not allow food, beverage residue, or metal canned products to remain on sink surface. * Do not leave wet sponges, cloths, or cleaning pads on the sink. This can lead to surface rust. |
