Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the mineral calcite. As a non-crystalline
stone, limestone possesses very uniform composition, texture, and structure,
and will not take on a polish. Limestone ranges in color from white to gray to
light gold. Limestone is widely used in bathrooms and for flooring. Being more
porous and softer than granite, if you are planning to use limestone in your
kitchen, you will need to take greater care. |
